Doug Wesley: Just curious, do you think Chuck Smith has a shot at the UK defensive coordinator job since Archer left? or maybe the recruiting coordinator? Are you hearing anything that might indicate something one way or another? Might make for an interesting article in Vaught's Views.
Larry: I think secondary coach Steve Brown will be named the new defensive coordinator because of his long-time ties with Rich Brooks. As for Chuck, I think he would be great as recruiting coordinator and I will probably have a column on that for Friday. Great minds think alike obviously.
