Clark County has several homemakers clubs, including the Rowdy Golden Girls. The club was started in 2002 when a group of girlfriends decided that since they got together for dinner and activities, they should form a homemakers club. Rowdy Girls consider themselves a service-based club that supports many of the community's needs. To support these organizations they collect monthly dues, have yard sales and bake sales. Some of the groups they support include: sending Ale-8s to the soldiers from Clark County who are serving in Iraq, Back Pack Program, Operation Happiness, 4H Camp Scholarships, AA Pregnancy Help Center, Toys for Tots, Hurricane Katrina victims, STRIDE, First Steps, Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts.
Extension homemakers combine fellowship with learning opportunities at club meetings and workshops. Practical demonstrations and discussions are an important part of the meetings.
