Inter-County Energy to inspect poles

Inter-County Energy will have contractors working in Lincoln and Boyle counties the next two to three weeks inspecting poles, weather permitting.

The affected areas and the tentative schedules are:

Feb. 13-16: Bowen Road, U.S. 127 South in Lincoln County.

Feb. 19-28: White Oak Road, Alum Springs Road, Stewarts Lane, Carrigan Drive, Cloverdale Drive, and all other streets behind the Danville Kroger in Boyle County.

Inspection crews will be riding in white utility trucks with Inter-County Energy signs on the doors. All-terrain vehicles also may be used when poles are inaccessible from the roadways.

Post showing children's movies

Casey school personnel hired

LIBERTY - Two coaches have been hired for teams at Casey County High School, according to Superintendent Linda Hatter.

Christy Williams was hired as swim coach, and Angel Hood was moved from assistant coach to head girls softball coach.

Miranda Price, high school cheerleading coach, and Jimmy Brown, high school baseball coach, have resigned.

Teresa Shaw also was hired as substitute for attendance clerk at the high school.

Others hired are: Noel Walters, custodian/lunchroom monitor and instructional assistant at the middle school to replace Tammy Dallman, who resigned; and Chatty Lee, sixth-grade teacher at Jones Park Elementary to replace Marilyn Watson, who retired in January.

Meetings

The Lincoln County Board of Education will meet at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the central office.

Danville-Boyle County Senior Citizen Board will meet 4:30 p.m. Thursday at the senior citizens center. Agenda includes update on data system, financial report and center report.
