Man charged after truck crashes

CLEMENTSVILLE - A Taylor County man was arrested Wednesday as he was attempting to load a wrecked truck onto a trailer, police said.

Ricky Salyers of Mannsville was charged with driving under the influence of intoxicants after he tried to drive the truck onto a trailer.

Sheriff Jerry Coffman said officers were called to the scene on Ky. 70 where the truck had left the road and flipped over. The truck was turned upright, but had a flat tire. At that point, an unidentified woman driving the truck was instructed to park the vehicle.

As Deputy Sheriff Chad Weddle and state Trooper Mike Woodrum were headed to the scene, they met the Salyers truck near the "Y" community on Ky. 70 West. Salyers was reportedly driving the truck onto a trailer when he was arrested.
