Water advisories canceled

Boil-water advisories for Perryville and Crab Orchard water customers have been lifted.

Walk/Run for Life set

The Pregnancy Resource Center recently announced its 2007 Walk/Run for Life will be May 19. The annual Walk/Run for Life is a way for the community to support couples who are dealing with hardship, facing an unplanned pregnancy or dealing with a past abortion.

To have your business name included as a sponsor on the banner and/or sign for this year's event, donations must be turned in by March 19. For more information, call Victoria Ferrell at (859) 236-9282.

Convention Center to host book expo

The Danville Convention Center will host the Second Annual Central Kentucky Book Expo. This year organizers are celebrating the 50th birthday of Dr. Seuss' "The Cat in the Hat." The book will be read at 2:36 p.m. Friday. Hours for the expo are 1-7 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Saturday. Local authors will be in attendance and local libraries will be represented. Book vendors and an adult literacy booth will be on site. Children's activities are planned.

Fundraiser to benefit summer camp

COLUMBIA - A fundraiser to benefit Trooper Island Camp will be held this year to mark the 42nd anniversary of the camp. Trooper Dwaine Barnett said the fundraiser includes the give-away of a 2007 Ford Mustang GT convertible. Call Barnett or any KSP officer at (270) 384-4796 for more information.

Annual talent show scheduled

Crab Orchard Neighborhood will hold its second annual talent show 6 p.m. Saturday at Cedar Creek Sportsman's Club on U.S. 150. Activities include the talent show, silent auction and chili supper. Monthly gospel sing set

HARRODSBURG - Perfect Peace Ministry will hold its monthly Southern Gospel Sing at 7 p.m. Friday at The Carpenter's Christian Church on the Harrodsburg bypass featuring The Patriot Quartet, Amy Campbell Greer and Carol Watson. Fish fry, food sale scheduled

St. James AME Church fish fry and food sale will begin 11 a.m. Friday at 124 E. Walnut St. Menu includes chicken, pork chops, fish, soup beans, choice of vegetables and side dishes. Meeting rescheduled

The Bate Middle School Council meeting originally scheduled for Thursday has been canceled and rescheduled for 3:30 p.m. March 8.

Meetings

Building Committee of Boyle County District Extension Board - 11:30 a.m. March 7 for a meeting with LCM Co., contractor for the new extension building, at the Extension Service's upstairs meeting room.

Perryville City Council - 7 p.m. Thursday at City Hall. Agenda includes recycling grant and rental discussion.
