Mac tip
Ever had a mapped drive appear on your desktop but not show up in the list in Finder? If so, here's how to fix it. Open Finder, then from the line menu go to Finder Preferences. On the tab called Sidebar Settings, look for Servers. Make sure there is a checkmark beside Servers and not a dash. If there is a dash, click in the box to make it a check mark instead. Now your missing mapped drive should appear in Finder.
