March 09, 2007|Lisa King

The Medicine Shoppe was robbed again on Thursday, March 8, and Nicholasville Police have arrested a suspect.

Ronnie Christopher Wheeler, 27, of 112 Lynnwood Dr., is charged with two counts of first-degree robbery.

The Medincine Shoppe was also robbed on Jan. 15. During the investigation, Medicine Shoppe employees told police the same suspect was responsible for both robberies.

Shortly after midnight, the Nicholasville Police Department's Emergency Response Team served a search warrant at Wheeler's home and found a bandana matching the one worn by the person who robbed the Medicine Shoppe 15 hours before. Also inside the residence was a plastic Kroger bag full of the same kind of narcotics that had been stolen from the Medicine Shoppe.

The emergency response team was called out to serve the warrant due to the nature of the offense, involving the use of guns, according to police. No one was injured during the raid, and Wheeler was taken into custody without incident.
