Gravel Switch man, child injured

GRAVEL SWITCH - Glen H. Ashcraft, 42, and Catarina N. Ashcraft, 12, both of Gravel Switch, were injured in a motorcycle crash 11:40 a.m. Sunday on Riley-Gravel Switch Road, state police said.

Both were airlifted from the scene to University of Louisville Hospital, according to Trooper John Boyd.

The accident was 2 1/2 miles west of here when Glen H. Ashcraft was driving west and his 1983 Honda motorcycle struck loose gravel and overturned. Neither was wearing a helmet.

Three suffer injuries in crash

LIBERTY - Three people were injured 11:45 a.m. Sunday in a one-vehicle traffic accident on Ky. 70 four miles east of here, state police said.

Lisa Carmen, 23, of Kings Mountain, and passengers, Audrey Carmen, 49, of Kings Mountain, and Alyssa Wade, 6, of Waynesburg, were to seek medical treatment, according to Trooper Brian Shepherd.

Lisa Carman was driving east when here 2000 Ford Ranger pickup went out of control in a curve, struck a guardrail and overturned.
