Lincoln wreck results in minor injuries

March 15, 2007

MCKINNEY - Police say a wreck involving a semi-truck hauling a tanker trailer hitting a passenger car only resulted in minor injuries Wednesday, around 6:20 p.m.

Gary Jenkins, 56, of Stanford, was driving east on Ky. 78 in Lincoln County when Kentucky State Police say an Oldsmobile Cutlass entered his path at the intersection of Ky. 198.

Joseph Lambert, 17, of Hustonville, had only minor injuries to his head and arm when the semi truck hit him on his driver-side front fender. After the collision, police say the truck jack-knifed and came to rest in a pasture field near the roadway.

The tanker was empty at the time of the collision, and police say no liquids or fuel were spilled onto the roadway.
