Public hearing scheduled

On behalf of the Boyle County School District Local Planning Committee, the Boyle County Board of Education will convene a local public hearing to review the proposed district facilities plan. The hearing will be 5:30 p.m. March 29 at the Boyle County High School library. The hearing is for recording testimony concerning the district facilities plan.

Chamber to host business workshop

The Danville-Boyle County Chamber of Commerce in cooperation with Central Kentucky Society of Human Resources Managers will host a workshop 7:30-9 a.m. April 10 on "Looking Beyond Today - Identifying Who Fits Where and Preparing for the Future." The workshop is the second part of a five part series on "What You Need to Know to Find and Keep Employees.

The workshop is designed for business owners and managers and has a $10 fee for Chamber of Commerce members, and a $20 fee for non-members. The Chamber asks business owners and managers to register by April 4. The workshop will be held at the Kentucky Utilities office in Danville. Danville schools to let out early Friday

Danville schools will release students early Friday. Classes at Toliver, Jennie Rogers, Hogsett elementaries and Bate Middle School will be dismissed at 11:45 a.m., while classes at Danville High School will be dismissed at 12:30 p.m.

Lunch will be provided to all elementary and middle school students prior to dismissal. Danville High School will provide breakfast only. Bus transportation will be provided for all students.

Kindergarten registration set

Perryville kindergarten registration will be 6:30 p.m. April 12 at the school.

Food sale

Vision Church of Holiness will have a food sale beginning at 11 a.m. Friday at 172 W. Jefferson Ave. For more information, call (859) 238-7441.

Correction

Dr. Naren James, chairman of Lincoln County's library board, said the library still should expect to break ground for its new facility within the year. In an article that ran in The Advocate-Messenger March 8, this information was wrongly attributed to State Librarian and Commissioner Wayne Onkst.
