HOMEMAKERS TO MEET

The Rowdy Golden Girls Homemakers will meet at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, April 5, at the Victory Heights Center for Achievement, 150 Maryland Ave.

SEED STARTING PROGRAM

The seventh annual Appalseeds Seed Program will get underway at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Clark County Public Library, 370 S. Burns Ave.

Julie Maruskin, library director, will discuss the best ways to start and grow heirloom and organic tomatoes, eggplants and peppers.

A program about planning by the signs of the moon will follow at 2 p.m.

NATURE HIKE ON SUNDAY

Settlement period rock fences can be observed by taking a nature hike at Lower Howard's Creek Nature Preserve beginning at 1:30 p.m. Sunday.

Boundary fences, edge-laid walks, stone stiles and consumption walls can be viewed during the four-hour strenuous hike.

SPRING CRAFT FAIR

The Women of Emmanuel Episcopal Church, 2410 Lexington Road, will have a Spring Craft Fair from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, March 31.

More than 21 venders are expected to participate in the event, which will feature area crafters and bakers.

Included will be woodcrafts, jewelry, weavers, crochet, homemade toys, quilted purses, leather goods, gardening items and more.

A bake sale will take place and box lunches will be available.

COMMUNITY SKATING

The Corinth Baptist Church will sponsor a free community skating from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Boone's Creek Baptist Camp, 1306 Trapp-Goff's Corner Road.

The event is open to all ages and the public.
