Classes

Body Recall - Beginner /intermediate, 8:30 to 9:30 a.m.; Intermediate/Advance, 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. beginning Feb. 5 through April 13. Body Recall helps participants regain mobility, strength, energy and flexibility. Body Recall is great for all ages. The exercises are done in a chair and with a chair. Exercise is great for the heart patient, stroke, arthritic, diabetic, knees and hip replacement. Classes will meet Monday, Wednesday and Friday at First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), 555 E Lexington, Danville. Instructor is Carolyn Walter, (859) 548-8203.

CPR and First Aid Classes - 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. March 27 at McDowell Wellness Center, will also cover AED, BBP and oxygen administration and will be taught by Timmi Abbott. They are offered through the American Safety and Health Institute. Cost is $50 for the certification class and $35 for the recertification class. For more information, call (859) 936-7209.

CPR and First Aid Classes for Hairdressers - 8 a.m.-4 p.m. April 15, in the community education room at McDowell Wellness Center, 1107 Ben Ali Drive in Danville. Approved by the Kentucky Board of Hairdressers as meeting the requirements to offer continuing education hours required by hairdressers. Clubs and Organizations

AARP Chapter of Garrard County - 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at Dix River Country Club on U.S. 27, south of Lancaster in Lincoln County. Optional meal is responsibility of participant. Member so the National AARP of those 50 and older interested in learning about the group are welcome, including residents of surrounding counties.

Boyle County Genealogical Association - Tuesday meeting has been canceled. The next meeting will be April 17.

Danville-Boyle County NAACP - 6:30 p.m. Monday at First Baptist Church, Second and Walnut.

Danville Christian Women's Club - Noon-1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Danville Country Club.The cost is $12 inclusive. Special feature will be Regina Lange of Louisville who will present a monologue.
