IIIrd Tyme Out will perform at the Leeds Center for the Arts for two performances at 7 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. Saturday. The bluegrass band is the seven-time award winner of the IMBA Vocal Group of the Year, as well as one of the most popular bluegrass acts in the country.
Success for IIIrd Tyme Out was nearly an overnight occurrence for this group after its forming in 1991. The band consists of Ray Deaton (bass) and Russell Moore (guitar), Steve Dilling (banjo), Alan Perdue (mandolin), Justen Haynes (fiddle) and sound technician Donnie Carver.
The group's name came about because it was the third professional bluegrass band association for founding members Deaton and Moore.
