The Jessamine County Fiscal Court appointed seven board members to the Kentucky River Task Force at its April 17 meeting.
They are Bonnie Phelps, Tommy Beall, Bill Greer, Chris Minor, Louis Travis, Freida Lear and Margaret Morgan.
The Kentucky River Task Force's mission is to develop, preserve, and maintain the vital and unique viewsheds in Jessamine County, working in cooperation with federal, state, and local agencies along with adjoining counties.
The Jessamine County Kentucky River Task Force also takes on the task of placing dozens of historic markers along the river bank. Each numbered marker corresponds to an entry in the Kentucky River Boating Guide. Copies of the guide are available at the judge-executive's office at the Jessamine County Courthouse.
Magistrates also approved the second reading of a planning and zoning item of section 3.224 of the Jessamine County Subdivision Regulations having to do with restrictions of easements in cluster developments.
