The Centre College baseball team was on the short end of a slugfest Wednesday to visiting Transylvania, as the teams combined for 35 hits and 29 runs in a 19-10 win over Colonels.
Eric Moore went 4-for-6 with a home run, two doubles, an RBI and scored three times to lead Centre (15-23), which had 16 hits.
Brandon Rosen was 3-for-5 with a double, a triple two RBIs and three runs, Jake Jones had a home run and scored, Andy Placido was 2-for-2, Justin Basham doubled and drove in two runs and Kevin McGee had a double.
Transylvania (22-9) used a 10-run second inning that included one Centre error and two passed balls, to lead 11-0. Jarrod Williams took the loss, giving up 11 runs, but only one earned, in 1 1/3 innings. Centre had three errors in the game.
