CANCELLATION

The luncheon meeting of the Clark County High School Class of 1953, scheduled Thursday at Gaunce's Deli, has been canceled due to the death of Doris Estes Thornberry, a class member.

ABSENTEE VOTING

The Clark County Clerk's office will be open during regular office hours for absentee voting from now through May 21 for eligible voters that will be out of the county all day on Election Day, May 22. The office also will be open from 9 a.m. until noon Saturday, May 19. Voters with disabilities that confine them to home, hospital or nursing homes, may apply for a mailed paper ballot through May 15 by calling 745-0280.

WINCHESTER CIVITAN CLUB

The Winchester Civitan Club will meet Monday at Taste of China on the Bypass at Lexington Avenue. Dinner will be at 6 p.m. followed by the meeting at 7 p.m. Howard Yarnell, international officer, Sixth Region, will be guest speaker. All members have been asked to attend.

STREET MILLING TODAY

The Public Work Department has announced the milling and paving that will start today. Residents who live in the specified areas have been asked to move their vehicles from the street.

Streets to be milled are Westside Drive from West Lexington Avenue to the end of Westside Drive, from Lakeview Drive to the end of Bayberry Drive and from Westside Drive to Bayberry Drive.

COUNTRY BOY DAYS

Country Boy Days will be observed this weekend with a yard sale at the intersection of Winn Avenue and Ecton Road.

Sponsored by the Country Boy Market, which will provide free hot dogs and related items, the event is open to anyone in Clark County for yard sale items only. Those participating are to bring their own tables and chairs
