Red Robin raises funds for Nicholasville fire department

June 20, 2007

Red Robin celebrated the grand opening of its Nicholasville location by raising $3086 for the Nicholasville Fire Department during its Burgers With A Heart event. The Nicholasville Red Robin restaurant is located at 101 E. Brannon Road, off of Nicholasville Road two miles past Man o' War Boulevard.

"On behalf of the Nicholasville Fire Department, I would like to thank Red Robin for its generous support and donation," said Charles Brumfield, chief of the Nicholasville Fire Department. "The money raised during the restaurant's opening will help provide the Nicholasville community with a hands-on learning experience of the services we provide."

Burgers With A Heart is part of the casual dining chain's ongoing commitment to its local communities. During grand opening week, May 21 to 27, the Nicholasville restaurant donated 50 cents from every gourmet burger sold to the Nicholasville Fire Department. The Nicholasville fire department will use the funds to help support its new Citizen Fire Academy Program.
