Andy William Bratcher, a senior at Lincoln County High School, represented Lincoln County at the recent Institute for Future Agricultural Leaders in Murray.
IFAL is a five-day summer leadership conference that exposes students to college life and explores different fields of study for careers in agriculture.
The conference was held June 10-14 on the campus of Murray State University and included special leadership classes and speakers, team building activities and visits to research farms and agriculture-related industries.
Participants were selected by their county Farm Bureau board of directors with the assistance of school personnel and youth group advisors. Selected students are among the top in their class who plan to further their education at the post-secondary level and have an interest in pursuing a career in agriculture.
