Red Cross offering First Aid/CPR classes

The Central Kentucky chapter of the American Red Cross is offering classes on three dates this summer.

On July 9, the Red Cross is offering First Aid/CPR certification for $35, CPR only for $25. Cosmetologists may attend this class for continuing education hours for $30 if they do not desire certification. This will be the last class for cosmetology hours.

On July 19, the Red Cross is offering First Aid/CPR for adult, infant and child certification for $45, CPR only for $35.

On Aug. 1, the Red Cross is offering CPR for the Professional Rescuer for $45. This class is for professionals who need CPR certification, including nursing students. The price includes a resuscitation mask.

Class size is limited for all classes and classes are filled on a first come, first served basis. A $10 non-refundable deposit is required, which is applied toward the cost of the class. To enroll, call (859) 236-6538.

Filing deadline for annual report approaching

FRANKFORT - Saturday is the last day for businesses based in Kentucky, both foreign and domestic, to file their annual reports with the Office of the Secretary of State. Failure to do so will result in the company being listed as in bad standing with the office and could ultimately lead to the entity being administratively dissolved or being revoked of its authority to do business in Kentucky. Companies have until Monday to file their annual reports.

Meeting

Mercer County Extension District Board - a public meeting 7 p.m. July 10 in the James Harrod Conference Center of Fort Harrod State Park. The purpose of the meeting is to generate a list of priority characteristics for the currently vacant agriculture extension agent position. Input or feedback from the community is welcome.
