Classes

Concealed Weapons - 8 a.m.-4 p.m. July 14 and beginning at 1:30 p.m. July 15 at Boyle County Community Education. Course meets or exceeds all state requirements to qualify for a concealed weapons permit. Separate range times. Do not bring firearms to class. Instructor is Carroll Pixley. $75. Exercise class - 10:30-11 a.m. each Monday, Wednesday and Friday at the Boyle County Senior Citizens Center, for ages 60 and up, $1 fee goes to the center. No class on holidays.

GED Classes - Held weekly in Stanford, Crab Orchard, McKinney, Highland and Waynesburg. Classes also available include adult basic education, computer, workplace skills, English as second language and others. For more information, call (606) 365-9665.

GED Classes - Danville Adult Education and Literacy Center, room 208, Danville High School, is offering individual instruction to learn to read, prepare for GED or improve writing, reading and math skills. Open five days a week. Call (859) 238-1303.

Mercer County Adult Education - Free GED preparation, workplace soft skill training, basic computer training and other instruction based on needs of participant.
