Training Session for LCHS boys soccer
Any Lincoln County High School boy that plans to play on the high school boy's soccer team for the 2007 school year is asked to participate in a special training session for defense strategies and soccer skills. Coach Jeb Burch, boys soccer coach at Centre College will provide this training. This session will be for two days only on Tuesday, July 17 and Wednesday July 18. Registration fee will depend on number of participants attending. LCHS soccer boosters to meet July 16
The LCHS Soccer Booster Club will meet Monday, July 16 at 6:30 p.m. in the high school cafeteria. Officers will be elected for the new school year. New players and incoming freshmen that wish to play on the boys or girls soccer teams should attend this meeting with their parents. Practice and game schedules, camp information, and other important information will be provided for both boys and girls teams at this meeting. LCHS girls soccer practice begins
The LCHS girlÃs soccer team began practice at the high school on Tuesday, July 10. Practices are two times per day Monday through Friday 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. and Monday through Friday from 6:30 to 8:30 PM. No evening practice on Wednesdays. A soccer camp for LCHS girls wishing to play soccer for the 2007 season will be held at LCHS July 23-26. Coach Jay Hoffman Centre College girls soccer coach will provide the training. The cost of the four-day camp is $150 per person. Any incoming freshmen girl interested in playing soccer may contact Coach David Gooch at (859) 326-0101 for more information.
Golf meeting for LCHS boys
Any boy interested in playing golf on the Lincoln County High School golf team needs to be at Lincoln County High School on Monday, July 16 at 6:30 p.m.
Helped needed for State Fair booth
The Kentucky State Fair will be Aug. 16-26. Lincoln County's booth will be in the Pride of the Counties exhibit area. 50 volunteers are needed to greet visitors, give out brochures, and assist in promoting Lincoln County's history to fairgoers. Blood drive in Stanford

Garrard AARP to meet
The Garrard County Chapter of AARP will meet Tuesday, July 17 at 12:30 p.m. at Sonny's Bar-B-Q Restaurant in Nicholasville. The restaurant is located on the bypass near the Golden Corral restaurant.
Robertson family reunion
The annual Robertson family reunion will be Saturday, July 14 at Jacobson Park in Lexington, Shelter 2. Lunch will be at noon.
Terry-Hogue reunion
The Terry-Hogue reunion will be at Locust Grove Baptist Church Saturday, July 14. Bring a covered dish and old pictures. Meal will be around noon.
