Several activities remain for July for clients of STRIDE (Supporting Therapeutic Recreation for Individuals with Disabilities Everyday).
These include a three-day, two-night summer trip to Bowling Green, leaving at 9 a.m. Wednesday. The trip will include visiting the water park, amusement park, petting zoo, playing putt-putt, watching movies and taking a boat tour of an underground cave.
Those making the trip have been asked to bring a beach towel for use at the indoor pool.
Other activities include a trip to Kentucky Kingdom on Aug. 1. Those attending are to wear their bathing suits and bring a towel. The cost is $5 for lunch. For those without season passes, the cost is $20 for the park and $5 for lunch. The group will meet at 9 a.m. and return at 6 p.m.
The remaining softball practices will be held July 24 and 31 at Community Park Field at 4 p.m. at a cost of $2. Athletic attire is required. In the event of rain, practice will be held in the gym at the Victory Heights Achievement Center, 150 Maryland Ave. Clients need to be picked up at 5:30 p.m.
