Adeline Becknell Mastin, 81, of Nicholasville, died Aug. 17, following a brief illness.
She was a member of the Nicholasville United Methodist Church. She was born Feb. 25, 1926, daughter of the late Hayden and Mary Cobb Becknell. Survivors include nine children, Ruth and husband, Albert, Ray of Garrard County, Charles "Bud-dy," and wife, Kathryn, Mastin of Lexington, Billy and wife, Susie, Mastin, Bessie and husband, Omer, Hendren, Debbie Mastin, Andy Eugene and wife, Brenda, Mastin, Danny and wife, Donna Sue, Mastin, Paulette Mastin and George Austin Mastin all of Nicholasville, 29 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters, Holbert Becknell, "Cotton" Becknell and Hayden Becknell Jr., Betty Parker and Maxine Becknell. Services were held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Betts & West Funeral Home with the Rev. David Hansel and the Rev. Mike Snyder.
Visitation was from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday. Burial will be in Bluegrass Memorial Gardens. Bearers will be Charles "Buddy" Mastin, Billy Mastin, Andy Eugene Mastin, Danny Mastin, George Austin Mastin, Ronnie and Donnie Baker. Honorary bearers will be Omer Hendren and Albert Ray.
