PIONEER FESTIVAL NAMES OMITTED

The names of several people who are associated with the Daniel Boone Pioneer Festival were omitted from the recent Festival Guide, according to Kitty Strode, festival chairwoman.

Those not mentioned were Ken Davis and members of the Winchester-Clark County Parks Department, Bobby Bailey, members of the Winchester Police Department, the Clark County Sheriff's Department, Steve Morris, Robert Leggett, Donald Lyle, Ronnie Maines, Brian McCord, members of Winchester Fire/EMS and the Clark County Fire Department.

These workers will be on hand at College Park and Lykins Park throughout the festival, Ms. Strode said.

WINCHESTER CIVITAN CLUB

The Winchester Civitan Club will meet Monday at Taste of China. Dinner will be at 6 p.m. followed at 7 p.m. by the general meeting.

GRC BAND PREVIEW

The George Rogers Clark High School Band Boosters will have a preview showing of the band's competitions at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday in Cardinal stadium behind the high school on Boone Avenue.

CORRECTION

An accident reported in Thursday's Sun incorrectly reversed the involvement of the drivers. At 2:38 p.m. Sunday on Boonesboro Road, a vehicle driven by Juan G. Mendoza, 2369 Waterworks Road, was making a left turn and crossed the center line then struck a vehicle driven by Kimberly D. Mitchell, 120 Foxglove.
