Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Wilder Funeral Home. The Rev. David Noe will officiate. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery.

Valerie D. Bisher
1941-2007
LANCASTER - Valerie Dugan Bisher, 65, of Kennedy Bridge Road, died Saturday at Danville Centre for Health and Rehabilitation.
Born Dec. 25, 1941, in Connecticut, she was a daughter of the late Val Dugan and Gwen Dugan. She was a retired sales clerk, a member of Hilliard Community Church and attended Buena Vista Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons, Todd Bisher (Sara) and Jason Bisher (Diane), both of Lancaster; and three grandchildren, Clay Bisher and Braeden Bisher, both of Lancaster, and Max Forloine of Ohio. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Brandy Forloine.
Services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Spurlin Funeral Home by Bro. Keith Weldon. Burial will be in Lancaster Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Thomas Hager, Charles Day, Joe Day, George Day, John Forloine, Jason Bisher and Todd Bisher.
Honorary pallbearers are Clay Bisher, Braeden Bisher and Max Forloine.

Willa Lear
1910-2007
HARRODSBURG - Willa B. Meredith Lear, 97, widow of Thomas Meredith Lear, died Saturday.
Born Feb. 23, 1910, in Mercer County, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Fannie Duncan Meredith. She was a homemaker and a member of Shawnee Run Baptist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Peggy Russell and Barbara Carpenter, both of Lexington; a son, Meredith Lear of Louisville; eight grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two grandchildren.
Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Wednesday and after 7 a.m. Thursday.

George Elliott
1937-2007
STANFORD - George "Bucky" Elliott, 70, of Stanford, died Saturday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.
Born June 14, 1937, in Lincoln County, he was a son of the late Ransom Taylor "R.T." and Ruby Garner Elliott. He was a farmer and a member of McKinney Christian Church.
Survivors include his wife, Evelyn Lawrence Elliott; a son, George B. Elliott Jr. (Kim) of Stanford; a daughter, Tammy Lynn French (Larry) of Stanford; a brother, Joe R. Elliott of Stanford; four grandchildren; 12 nieces and 10 nephews. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Taylor Wesley Elliott, Charles W. Elliott and John G. Elliott.
Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Spurlin Funeral Home by the Revs. Don Burton and Darrell Estes. Burial will be in Buffalo Springs Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be nephews, Chris Singleton, Brian Singleton, Scott Lawrence, Norman Lawrence Jr., Joe Cain, Donnie Elliott, Ronnie Elliott, Jason Elliott and Jamison Goatee. Honorary pallbearers are Cecil Maddox, Ronnie Brown, Bobby Cain, Fields Taylor, Raymond Lewis, Charlie Murray and Jason Reed.
