Dear Editor,
Tony Gray has given to the citizens of Danville a great police officer and been a great citizen and role model for the community in which he was born and raised. It's time that the Danville City Commission does the right thing and makes Tony Gray chief of police at once.
Or, is the commission going to go outside the department to bring someone in to run the department? Then in three to six months, for personal reasons, that person decides to leave. Promote Tony Gray as chief today and take the guesswork out of the future because you know you will be getting a well-qualified individual to lead the city of Danville.
