Carl H. Westerfield, 55, of Danville, was injured Wednesday in a one-vehicle crash on Ky. 33 three miles north of Danville, state police said. Westerfield was treated at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center, according to Trooper Michael Ashley.
Westerfield was driving north on Ky. 33 when his 2002 Ford Explorer dropped off the edge of the pavement. The vehicle overcorrected, which caused it to go across the road and strike a rock fence off the south shoulder of the road. He was wearing a seat belt.
