Jane Price Welch, 81, wife of the late Porter P. Welch, died Saturday, Sept. 15, at Bluegrass Community Hospital. Born in Jessamine County, she was a daughter of the late Kleber F. and Elizabeth Parks Price. Jane was a former teacher, having taught in Jessamine County and later as a substitute teacher in Woodford County. She was a member of the Versailles Christian Church, the Daughters of the American Revolution, the Woodford County Woman's Club, and she had been a volunteer at Taylor Manor Nursing Home. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Kathy W. Hall and Noel Hall of Louisville, her sister, June Buffin of Nicholasville, and her granddaughter, Amanda Hall of Lexington. Funeral services were 3 p.m. Monday, Sept. 17 at Blackburn & Ward Funeral Home with the Rev. Marcus Lynn officiating. Interment was in the Versailles Cemetery. Pallbearers were Noel Hall, Jay Buffin, Mike Antrobus, Alec Antrobus, Barbara Antrobus, and Dan McHatton.
