Potential Boyle library logos on display

Finalists in the Boyle County Library's logo design contest are on display in the main lobby of the library at 307 W. Broadway.

The library received 71 entries in its contest, which offers a $1,000 prize donated by Friends of the Library. The library is seeking a new logo in connection with its major expansion. Entrants in the logo contest ranged from fifth-grade students to local adults and some experienced designers.

"We invite everyone to come see the finalists and tell us what offers the strongest impression of a lively, new library," said Lonnie Harp, a member of the library board who is chairman of the logo committee.
