Danville-Boyle-Kentucky School for the Deaf Community Education is offering the following classes.
Red Cross Baby-Sitting Certification: 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Oct. 20 at Community Education. Class is geared for ages 11-17. The six-hour class includes safety, infant child CPR, diapering, feeding, general child care and what to do when a child or infant chokes. Certificates will be given. This class also is appropriate for new mothers. Book and lunch included. Instructor is Karen Taylor.
Beginning Digital Photography: 6:30-8 p.m. Oct. 4, 11 and 18 at the Bate Middle School music room. Class is for people with new digital cameras or planning to buy one. Will discuss all aspects of digital cameras and photography, editing, printing and storage of images. Instructor is John Gentry. $38.
Concealed Weapons: 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Oct. 6 and beginning 1:30 p.m. Oct. 7 at Community Education. Course meets or exceeds all state requirements to qualify for a concealed weapons permit. Separate range times. Do not bring firearms to class. Instructor is Carroll Pixley. Cost is $75.
