Ruth N. Lynn

1918-2007

LIBERTY - Ruth Naomi Lynn, 88, of Liberty, died Tuesday.

Born Oct. 18, 1918, in Indianapolis, Ind., she was the daughter of the late Ivy Earl and Annie Allison Cox. She was a homemaker and the widow of William Curtis Lynn.

Survivors include a daughter, Marlene Melton of Liberty; a son, William Lynn of Liberty; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Bartle Funeral Home by Bro. Bearl King. Burial will be in Poplar Grove Cemetery.

Visitation is after 6 p.m. today.

LINCOLN

Ray T. James

1929-2007

STANFORD - Ray T. James, 79, of Stanford, died Monday at St. Joseph Hospital.

Born. Nov. 29, 1929, in Rowland, Ky., he was a son of the late Jim and Emma Land James. He was a meat cutter for A&P for 22 years and former owner of Ray's Market in Danville and Ray's BBQ Pit. He was a member of Stanford First Church of God, Masonic Lodge No. 60 and Shriners Club.

Survivors include three sons, Larry James (Sandra) of Newburg, Ind., Jimmy James (Donna) of Port Matilda, Pa., and Danny James (Tammy) of Lexington; seven grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by six brothers and three sisters.

Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Spurlin Funeral Home by Dr. Mike James. Burial will be in Buffalo Springs Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Danny Harmon, Josh James, Billy Moberly, Gary Moberly, Pat Peck and Harold Wilson. Honorary pallbearers are Bob and Neal James.

Visitation is 5-8 p.m. today.

MERCER

Ann G. Robbins

1942-2007

HARRODSBURG - Ann G. Robbins, 65, of Hazard, Ky., widow of Mason Robbins, died Sept. 25 in Little Rock, Ark.

Survivors include a sister, Martha Duff of Hazard; grandson, William Conrad "Bo" Curtsinger of Fayetteville, Ark.; great-grandchild, Cyzer Conrad Curtsinger; and three stepchildren, Shawn Curtsinger, Mark Curtsinger and Shea Harmon, all of Harrodsburg. She was predeceased by a son Richard "Dickie" Curtsinger, a sister, Alice Shepperson; and a brother, John Thomas "Jack" Gibson.

Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at the Spring Hill Cemetery.

Ransdell Funeral Chapel is in charge of local arrangements.
