Monica Bentley and Chris Shearer exchanged marriage vows at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, June 16, at First United Methodist Church. The bride is the daughter of Stan and Terri Bentley, and Mr. Shearer is the son of Vernon and Karen Shearer, all of Winchester.
The Rev. James Williams officiated, and music was provided by Brandon Holder with Lauren Moss Gatti as vocalist.
Escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents, the bride wore a one-piece, lace-over satin strapless, A-line corset back gown. The lace was ruched asymmetrically on the bodice accenting the princess seam. Lace ornaments adorned the hem of the gown.
Her headdress was a matching cathedral-length veil, and she carried a bouquet of yellow Skyline roses and blue delphinium.
Tamara Bentley Caudill of Winchester, sister of the bride, was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Gloria Shearer of Winchester, Brandy Weyenberg of Hattiesburg, Miss., Rachael Barnum of Louisville, Caroline Pieroni of Louisville, Kristie Williams of Richmond and Cleda Miller of Winchester.
