Letter: New spay/neuter clinic another first

October 16, 2007

Dear Editor:

This Thursday, Oct. 18, Danville will add another "first" to its long list with the opening of the first low-cost, high-quality spay/neuter clinic. This opening caps several months of hard work by many people who are dedicated to seeing that eventually, our community will stop euthanizing perfectly adoptable cats and dogs.

The Danville-Boyle County Humane Society invites everyone to come to an open house from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Happy Paws Spay/Neuter Clinic at 292 Stewart's Lane North, just past the Marathon truck stop. We'll have refreshments and tours of the facility.

We think you'll be amazed by what you see, and even more amazed by the results this effort will have on pet overpopulation in our area over the next few years.

If you would like to make an appointment to have a cat or dog neutered, call (859) 691-1137 to see if you qualify. And everyone, come celebrate with the animals of Boyle County this Sunday at the Happy Paws Spay/Neuter Clinic.
