Hallie Jeanette Horton Fox, 62, wife of James P. Fox, of Wood Street, died Oct. 14, at her home after an extended illness. She was a member of the High Bridge Union Church. She was born April 29, 1945, daughter of the late Elbert William Thomas 'Sprout' Horton and Mary Etta Johnson Horton. Additional survivors include two children, Deborah Fox and James Fox Jr., a niece she treated like a daughter, Melissa Bright, three grandchildren, Sarah Lay, Sasha Bright and Tristen Bass, two sisters, Marietta Houp and Joyce Abrams, two brothers, Ronald and Robert Horton, a special friend, Murelene Masters. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Minnie Jo Whitaker and Betty Yocum and four brothers, Eldon, Willard, Billy, and Tommy Horton. Services were Wednesday, Oct. 17 at Betts & West Funeral Home with Dr. Glen Spann and Leonard Fitch officiating. Burial followed in Camp Nelson National Cemetery. Bearers were Eddie Price, Jeff Puckett, Jeffrey Abrams, Keith Duggins, Wayne Malone and Josh Lay. Honorary bearers were Arza Byrd, Victor Whitaker, Hogan McKinney, Hubert Waldrop, Glendon McKinney, Billy Russell and Virgil Masters. Visitation was Tuesday from at the funeral home.
