Danville-Boyle County Humane Society Pets of the Week

October 31, 2007

These cuties are among the animals available for adoption from the Danville-Boyle County Humane Society this week. The puppies, Bingo, Benny and Binky, have Dachshund in their backgrounds. They are 10 to 12 weeks old and are playful and friendly. And speaking of playful and friendly, Myrna, a 3-month-old calico kitten, has those two characteristics in abundance.

Other felines include Jingles, an orange and white 3-month-old medium hair; Goldilocks and Queenie, medium-hair orange 6-month-olds; Wally, a petite white adult; Ginny, an adult with medium-length gray and white hair, and many young kittens with a variety of markings. On the canine side, there is Frankie, a young adult chocolate Lab mix; Duke, an 8-month-old red heeler mix, already neutered; Joy, a sweet medium-sized adult with Dachshund in her background, and many puppies in a variety of mixes.

The adoption fee of $75 includes spay-neuter surgery, first vaccinations (including rabies), de-worming, feline leukemia test for cats, and Boyle County dog tag for dogs. The DBCHS animal shelter is located on the Danville bypass, across from 84 Lumber. Shelter hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.
