William Robert Dean, 84, husband of Nancy Dean, Harrodsburg, died Sunday, Oct. 28, at the James B. Haggin Memorial Hospital. Born April 13, 1923 in Mercer County he was the son of the late Charlie B. and Jose-phine Roberts Dean. He was a World War II Veteran of the United States Marine Corps, a retired veteran of the United States Navy, and a retired Corning Incorporated employee. He has been a member of the Harrodsburg Christian Church since he was a child and served as a Deacon and was a member of the Service Men's Sunday School Class. He enjoyed fishing, camping and gardening. Additional survivors besides his wife include: His mother-in-law: Ada Landon of Keyser, W.Va., two sons: William R. Jr. and wife Denise Dean of Nicholasville and Charles F. and wife Michelle Dean of Harrodsburg; three daughters, Linda and husband Steve Bokros and Lois Ann and husband Mike Cruce-Pasley, both of Nicholasville and Nancy Josephine Dean of Lexington; one brother: James F. and wife Kirki Dean of Gallatin, Tenn., nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
