Ruth Bates: Dec. 30, 1978 - Nov. 1, 2007

Ruth Ann "Rudy" Hunter Bates, 28, died Thursday, Nov. 1. She was born Dec. 30, 1978 in Fayette County to Ann Elizabeth Graham Cotton of Nicholasville and Randy Bruce Stinnett of Lancaster. Additional survivors are four children, Brittany Hunter of Nicholasville, Trevor Bates of Garrard County, Katelyn and Hannah Bates of Nicholasville, a sister, Glenda and husband Danny Hammonds of Nicholasville, two brothers, Paul and wife Shannon Masters, Leslie and wife Holly Murphy of Tennessee and other family members. She was preceded in death by a sister, Gayle Morris. Services were at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Betts & West Funeral Home with the Rev. Dan Barnes officiating. Burial was in Maple Grove Cemetery. Visitation was from 11 a.m. until time of service Wednesday. Bearers were Paul Mastin, Leslie Murphy, Chad Rainwater, Bobby, Mickey and Matt Stinnett.
