Lucille Moss Bearden, 100, of Royalty Court, died Sunday, Nov. 11, 2007 at her home. Born May 25, 1907 she was the daughter of the late Frank and Nancy Moss. She worked as a self-employed quiltmaker. She is survived by two children and their spouses, Jay and wife June Bearden of Nevada and Betty and husband Pete Vires of Lexington as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and other family members. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Eva Ray, two grandsons, David Vires and Jeffery Bearden, one granddaughter, Cheryl Ray and a special grandson, Gary Lee Osten. Services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 14 at Betts & West Funeral Home with the Rev. Dan Barnes officiating. Burial followed in Bluegrass Memorial Gardens. Bearers were Daniel Eades, Ricky Vires, Daniel Barnes, Mike Howard, Garrett Fields and John Halderman.
Visitation was Tuesday, Nov. 13 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
