Violet Snow Coffman, 67

Violet Snow Coffman, 67, of McKinney, died Monday, Nov. 12 at the Fort Logan Hospital.

A native of Casey County, she was born Aug. 8, 1940 to the late Fred and Velma Richards Snow. She was a past cook at McKinney Elementary School and worked at Genesco for 22 years and the Stanford House Rehabiliation Center and Matsushita. She was a member of Geneva Community Church and the widow of Orville Kenneth Coffman.

Survivors include two daughters, Donna (Lindsey) Yocum of McKinney and Charlotte (Bill) Long of Hustonville; three sisters, Bernice Griffin of Hustonville, Marie Singleton of Louisville, and June Hardwick of Dunnville; four grandchildren, Shane Yocum, Shelley Cockerham, and Josh and Jeremy Long; and two great grandchildren, McKayla and Hailey Yocum.

Funeral services will be today (Nov. 15) at 2 p.m. at the Spurlin Funeral Home in Stanford with Rev. Rick Naylor officiating. Burial will be in Buffalo Springs Cemetery.

Active pallbearers are Ray Griffin, Craig Griffin, Joseph Hardwick, Mark Hardwick, David Singleton, Josh Long, Jeremy Long, and Jonathan McWhorter. Honorary pallbearers are Shane and Kim Yocum, Todd and Shelley Cockerham, Anna Holbert, Dinah Rooks, and Winford Coffman.
