Films of Russian historical places were viewed by members of the JOY/XYZ Group of First United Methodist Church at its annual Thanksgiving luncheon, held Nov. 13 in the fellowship hall at the church.
Boo Baldwin, group coordinator, who recently spent three weeks in Russia on a tour with her husband, Bob, described the various historical places and some of the celebrations and customs of the country.
Games and puzzles were played following lunch, November birthdays were recognized, and plans were made for the group's annual Christmas outing in December.
Bibby Anderson gave the devotional. Those attending were Mildred Gallaher, Dorothy Foster, Bertha Shelton, Ethel Vance, Mary Rowe, Hazel May, Agnes Lowry, Alice Tucker, Edith Myles, Beunice Roberts, Mrs. Baldwin, Mrs. Anderson, Peggy Case, Marge Whitley and a guest, Ronald Rowe.
