Catching up on old times

November 21, 2007|Ronald Barnett

A few weeks ago I wrote that it would be good if the Fiscal Court would build a compound fence lot so the police could impound the cars when the drivers have no insurance or were DUI.

Well. I was behind times. The Fiscal Court on the week of Aug. 20 approved an impound lot to be built, and since then a half-acre lot has been completed with a seven-foot fence and three strands of barbed wire on top at the cost of $8,522.

Thank you, Fiscal Court.

If our police will use this, I think it will make a difference in our safety on the roads.
