A carload of Southdown lambs, shown by Henry Besuden's Vinewood Farm, Clark County, won the grand championship Saturday at the International Livestock Exposition in Chicago. It was the 10th victory in 12 tries for Besuden.

Misses Margaret Nickell, Edith Crace, Patty Culton, Janice Humble and Jeanne Humble were guests Saturday evening at a surprise miscellaneous shower for Miss Billie Stockdale, bride-elect.

Mr. and Mrs. Robert C. Harper have returned to their home in Gibsonia, Pa., after spending the Thanksgiving holiday with her mother, Mrs. George Lee, and Mr. Lee, at their home on Garner Street.

The third annual Christmas performance of Handel's "Messiah" by the oratorio chorus of Southeastern Christian College will be given in the college auditorium on Sunday.

Mr. and Mrs. Charles W. Bradley have purchased from Mrs. Christine S. Roberts and H.R. Sousley a residence on West Lexington Avenue.

A public meeting of construction employers and employees, contractors, and others interested in the forthcoming construction of two housing units here has been called for Saturday at the City Hall.
