Lewis Ray Hines, 59, of Salvisa, died Wednesday, Dec. 5, at the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville.
A native of the Argyle community in Casey County, he was born Aug. 26, 1948 to Rella Smith Hines of Casey County and the late Ray Hines. He was an employee of Trane Company in Lexington, a Vietnam Army veteran, and a member of the ARRL Amateur Radio Association and the Golden Pathway Fellowship Church in Anderson County. He enjoyed ham radios and playing the guitar.
He was also preceded in death by a brother, Larry Hines.
Other survivors include his wife, Lytha Lowe Hines; a daughter Lisa Hines Lanham of Harrodsburg; one son, Troy Richardson of Casey County; one brother Tim Hines of Argyle; one grandson, Christian Lanham of Harrodsburg; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral services were Dec. 8 at the Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home in Harrodsburg with pastors Joe and Margaret Gay officiating. Burial with military honors was in Spring Hill Cemetery.
