Louisville Beth Haven used a big second-quarter run to open its lead, then coasted in the second half Monday to beat the visiting Kentucky School for the Deaf boys 68-34.
Jordan Ramser was the only KSD player in double figures as he scored 13 points. Dustin Tipton had seven points, four rebounds, two assists and two steals while Travis Zornoza added five points, five boards and two assists.
The Colonels (6-3) shot just 27 percent (12 of 44) and turned the ball over 20 times.
"We were simply outplayed. Beth Haven outhustled us, and they wanted it more than we did," KSD coach Mike Yance said.
"We just did not play a good game overall."
Beth Haven (2-5) led 23-16 after the first quarter, but stretched that lead to 36-20 at the half and 49-34 after three quarters.
