Martha Gooch Murphy, 84, of Dickerson Court, Lancaster, died Saturday, Dec. 15 at the Fort Logan Hospital.
A native of Lincoln County, she was born March 12, 1923 to the late George Samuel Gooch and Anna Huffman Gooch. She had retired from Garrard County Memorial Hospital after working there for 25 years, was a member of the Goshen Christian Church, and the widow of Robert (Bob) Lee Murphy.
She was also preceded in death by a sister, Frances Moore.
Survivors include one daughter, Mary Ann Estes of Stanford; one sister, Virginia Bryant of Louisville; two grandchildren, Leigh Ann Saylor of Danville and Nicole Estes of Stanford; and one great grandchild, Savana Saylor of Danville.
Funeral services were Dec. 17 at the Spurlin Funeral Home in Lancaster with Bro. Johnny Adamson officiating. Burial was in the Lancaster Cemetery.
