New Year's holiday closings

County and state offices will be closed Monday and Tuesday for the New Year's holiday while city offices will be closed Tuesday only.

Winchester Municipal Utilities will be closed Tuesday only with garbage pickup scheduled that day to resume its regular schedule Friday. The Clark County Pubic Library will be closed Monday and Tuesday, with the United States Post Office closed Tuesday with only express mail to be delivered.

Clark County Home Health will be closed Monday and Tuesday with nurses on call, while the Clark County Health Department and the Clark County Extension Office will re-open Wednesday after being closed for the Christmas and New Year holidays.

All financial institutions will observe regular hours Monday with the exception of National City Bank, which will close at 4 p.m. Monday instead of 5 p.m.

Closed Tuesday will be Alliance Banking, BB&T, Central Bank, Community Trust, Citizens Guaranty, Kentucky Bank, Peoples Exchange, Traditional Bank, National City and Traditional Bank.

Clark County schools and Clark County Christian Academy will reopen Tuesday, and St. Agatha Academy will resume classes Thursday, with Winchester Christian Academy opening Monday, Jan. 7.

Clark County Christian will be in session one-half day Friday and will resume classes Jan. 2, while Winchester Christian Academy will be closed from Friday until Monday, Jan. 7.

The Winchester Sun will observe regular hours Monday and will be closed Tuesday for the New Year's holiday and no paper will be published. Regular hours will resume Wednesday.
