A typical class will begin indoors with a 10- to 15-minute series of jumping jacks, push-ups and sit-ups or crunches. These will be followed by an outdoors workout, consisting of a walk/run with stops along the way for a series of workout drills.

To participate, individuals must be able to complete a mile in less than 13 minutes. The cost is $30 for wellness center members and $60 for non-members. To sign up, call (859) 936-9355, or stop by the member services desk.

Animal sanctuary/rescue to hold monthly fundraisers

Sadie's Animal Rescue and Adoption and Willow Creek Sanctuary will begin holding fundraisers at Pizza Hut every second Tuesday, now through May.

Pizza Hut donates 20 percent of all dine-in or carry-out orders. There is no extra cost to customers.

The first benefit will be from 5-10 p.m. Tuesday at the Danville location. The donations will go toward medical costs and supplies to care for homeless animals in central Kentucky.

Both shelters also need volunteers and foster homes. Go to www.sadierescue.org, or www.willowcreeksanctuary.petfinder.com for more information.
