Martin Luther King Jr. Day closings

Winchester Municipal Utilities will operate on regular schedules Monday, along with Clark County Community Services.However, in observance of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s birthday, all schools, banks, and state, county and city offices will be closed, along with the post office with only express mail to be delivered. The Clark County Health Department will be closed, and nurses will be on call from the Clark County Home Health Agency, which also will be closed. The Clark County Extension Office will be closed.

The annual Unity Breakfast will be from 7:30 to 9 a.m. Friday in the commission chambers at City Hall.

Bob Ramsey of Scott County, former director at Bluegrass Station and a 20-year Air Force veteran, will be the speaker.

The catered breakfast is open to the public.

The Winchester Sun will be open for regular business hours on Monday.
