Kudos to the University of Kentucky for installing the emergency alert system in a relatively short period of time following the tragedy at Virginia Tech that left 33 people dead.
Now, state Rep. Robert Damron wants to allow employees at U.K. to be able to have guns in their cars. What logical reason would they have for bringing their guns with them in the first place?
He states that he has widespread support for his bill, but I am willing to bet that he does not have the support of one single parent of the 27,000 students who attend UK. I suggest that we grant amnesty to whoever removed the common sense from Frankfort, so it can be returned as soon as possible.
