The video featured highlights from every game of the season, including the state semifinal loss to eventual state champion Fort Thomas Highlands. The final moments of the film were dedicated to the 10 seniors — Dustin Brummett, Nathan Bustle, Devon Denson, Josh Foister, Noah Keeton, Kris Long, Kody Reed, Levi Rogers, Daniel Walls and Ryan Young — tracing each player in photos from infancy to the present.
The presentation of awards followed the video, including another All-Area Coach of the Year award for French.
"They (Patriots) played hard. They had a great year. Rewards like these come to coaches because of the young people they coach. And this has been a great group of players," said French, who also merited District Coach of the Year honors for his work on the sidelines this season.
French took home two awards. The majority of the awards, however, belonged to the Patriot athletes.
Seniors Devon Denson, Levi Rogers and Dustin Brummett garnered the top team awards. Denson was named the Defensive MVP, Rogers was the Offensive MVP and Brummett was named the overall MVP.
The three were also recognized as All-District honorees, with Rogers named District Player of the Year. Brummett also was honored at the state level, being named to the Associated Press second team defense at linebacker and receiving honorable mention on The Courier-Journal's All-State Teams.
Ryan Young was also named to the AP All-State second team defense at defensive back and lineman Daniel Walls was named third team offense on the Courier-Journal team and honorable mention on the AP team. Walls was also named All-Area Lineman of the Year.
